The Steelers mascot has a name!

Steely McBeam
Congratulations to Diane Roles from Valencia, Pa., who won premium seating for the Steelers' Sept. 16 home opener against Buffalo and a Steelers throwback helmet and jersey.
?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't know there was a prize! I would have entered "Beam Cowher".
...aaaand we're back!

After a much-needed summer break, you've got your most beloved Steelers blogger back! Yes, and the Steelers themselves as well.
I've been making HUGE plans! I'm moving to Irvine, CA in a month for grad school to attend UC Irvine's MBA program. So please excuse me for neglecting my blogging duties.
Do any of my readers live in the OC? Contact me - I'll need a new crew to watch the games with. It's always the best to start off a great football Sunday morning at 10am with a pitcher and friends!
On an amazingly AWESOME note, I may be featured in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review for "over-the-top" Steelers fans. I just got this email today:
I'm doing a story this week on Steelers fans who have done odd or interesting things to show their love for the team. I've got a guy in Clairton who built a 13-foot high replica of the Lombardi Tropy in the "sports bar" in his home. I'm interested in people like this if you know any. Please let me know ASAP how I can contact them, the story is running on Sunday.
Then I wrote this back:
I'm the biggest Steelers fan I know in Southern California. But you've already seen my blog :) Oh, and there was the guy who had that Steelers funeral. I'm excited to see your piece this weekend!
I gave him my digits and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. This may be the most exciting thing to happen to this blog, ever!
Name the Steelers mascot
I believe he already has a name.
Um, Bill Cowher?
Buy Bill Cowher's Junk!
Now before you get very excited, it is all seriously junk. I read in the Post Gazette about how the Cowher family is leaving stuff behind in Pittsburgh for auction.
Immediately I wondered if I would be able to purchase a Bill Cowher mockneck. Used or unused. Wouldn't matter to me. Pit stains might be better anyway? I am digressing.
Sooooo the auction starts this Saturday, 4/28. If you like furniture pieces dating all the way back to the 1990's, then this auction is for you.
My personal favorite is the 9'6" ARTIFICIAL FICUS TREE. (1990's) Four trunks with attached silk leaves, contained in a painted Italian terra cotta planter. Condition: age appropriate wear. Dimensions: 114"H. planter diameter 21 1/2". The auction house estimates it will sell anywhere between $100-$200.
Who would buy this
These are the only Steelers-related items in the auction:

Kind of cute
To view the rest of the items, go to Dargate Auctions and look at lots 1211-1277. Happy bidding!
The hottest kiss of 2006
Joey Porter has got some lips. If I were Bill Cowher I would never wash my neck again.
I love videos of the TV.
